Actress-singer KC Concepcion said that she was caught by surprise with the special birthday greeting of her biological father actor Gabby Concepcion for her mother Sharon Cuneta.

The actor's message was shown at Cuneta's birthday concert dubbed as "Songs of My Heart" at Araneta Coliseum last Friday, January 9th.

The young Concepcion thanked her dad for his sweet greeting via VTR.

"Thank you dad for that, sobrang unexpected yon. I didn't know na mayroon silang VTR," the actress said.

Concepcion's birthday message was taken from an interview that was recorded in San Francisco, California, where the actor was based.

In his greeting, Concepcion expressed how happy he was to greet the Megastar on her birthday and added that it was the happiest greeting he did for 2009.

KC did a special number for her mom's birthday concert. She explained why she failed to greet her mother on stage.

"Kasi naghahanap ako ng mic. Wala akong mahanap na mic. Pero I really wish you all the happiness in the world and I love you very, very much," KC said.

KC is now busy shooting for her second movie with Richard Gutierrez. She is also gearing up for her first television series with actor Piolo Pascual.

Despite being busy with her showbiz schedules, KC still manages to perform her duties as the World Food Programme's national ambassador.
