MANILA, Philippines - International singer and American Idol Season 7 finalist David Archuleta is back in Manila.

In his official Twitter account, Archuleta shared his excitement as he returned to the country Friday morning.

"Landed safely! Hellooo Manila!!! And thanks for the warm welcome!!," Archuleta tweeted.

In his video blog posted earlier, Archuleta bared that he will be in Manila to do a television series.

"Back to the Philippines. I'm so excited for that and I just can't wait and see some of you guys there," he said.

Aside from the series, he's also preparing for his call to become a full-time missionary for the Mormon Church.

"Until then I still have some time to do some recording and some appearances and Filipino mini-series," he said.
