MANILA, Philippines -- Host-actress Kris Aquino wants Gary Valenciano to take on a guest role in her newest series "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" and is seeking the help of her fans to convince the singer.

Valenciano, who sings the theme song of the soap, guested on Aquino's morning show "KrisTV" on Thursday.

"Sana tulungan niyo ako i-tweet niyo at kulutin niyo si Gary V. na tanggapin 'yung ino-offer namin sa kanya sa 'Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw," Aquino told viewers, hinting that the part being offered to Valenciano is crucial to the story.

For his part, Valenciano told Aquino: "Pag-iisipan ko, pag-iisipan ko talaga."

According to Aquino, her soap wouldn't be complete without Valenciano having a part in it.

"Can I make kwento na ako ang nag-talent coordinator for this. Ako 'yung nangulit talaga, I really told Deo Endrinal na a teleserye is not a teleserye kung hindi si Gary V ang kumakanta ng theme song. So for the very first time it's my great honor na ang kumakanta po ng theme song ng teleserye namin is the one and the only Mr. Pure Energy," Aquino said.
