Coco challenged to do series for kids
MANILA, Philippines - Actor Coco Martin admitted that it's a big challenge for him to do a television series that would appeal to children.
After appearing in dramatic roles in "Tayong Dalawa" and "Walang Hanggan," Martin will be back on TV screens as the newest superhero "Juan dela Cruz."
Ngayon gagawa ako ng fantasy na malapit sa puso ng mga bata," said Martin, who admitted that he also wanted to be a superhero when he was young.
Noong bata ako nanonood ako ng mga Captain Barbell," he said.
To make sure that he will do good in his newest soap, Martin said he also took on a hands-on role as one of the creative consultants of the show.
Also part of the upcoming soap are stars Zsa Zsa Padilla, Albert Martinez and Erich Gonzales as his leading lady.
"Juan dela Cruz" will premiere on February 4 after "TV Patrol" on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
