MANILA, Philippines – Janice de Belen's teenage romance with Gabby Concepcion was the subject of teasing during the live telecast of "Showbiz Inside Report (SIR)" on Saturday, shortly after an interview of the former matinee idol aired on the entertainment talk show.

In his taped interview with "SIR" co-host Joey Marquez, Concepcion was asked how his relationship with de Belen started.

"Gumawa kami ng pelikula -- 'I'll Wait For You (If It Takes Forever)'. Madalas niya akong lutuan eh... actually, bine-bake," the 48-year-old actor said, referring to the romance film released in 1983.

Asked for her reaction to the interview -- wherein Concepcion also described her as "maalaga" -- de Belen corrected the actor's recollection of their then-blooming romance.

"Kasi nagsu-shoot kami ng movie, tapos mali pa 'yung sinabi niyang movie. Hindi kaya 'I'll Wait For You'. 'Puppy Love' 'yun," she said, referring to the 1982 film.

Prodded to relate how Concepcion wooed her at the time, de Belen said, "Wala lang. Paano ba manligaw? Nadaan ako sa red lips, ang pula ng labi niya 'di ba.. Mangingibig."

'Fatso' and 'amor'

During Concepcion's taped interview, the actor was also asked to recall his term of endearment for de Belen during their relationship. The actor declined to answer, saying Marquez can ask the "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" star instead.

"Feeling ko hindi niya matandaan," de Belen said. "Ang tawag ko sa kanya 'fatso.' Tawag niya sa 'kin 'amor,' kasi 'amor' in Spanish means 'love.'"

The 44-year-old actress also shared their theme song -- "Truly" by Lionel Richie -- as having been based on the featured track in one of her films co-starring Concepcion.

Now both contract artists of ABS-CBN -- they both currently star in separate Kapamilya primetime series -- is de Belen open to working with Concepcion anew?

"Naman, oo naman. Susmaryosep," she said. "I think mas marami kaming ginawang pelikula ni Gabby after nu’ng nag-break kami."

Concepcion's non-showbiz wife recently gave birth to another daughter named Savannah. The actor also has other children from previous relationships, including Kapamilya host KC Concepcion with veteran actress Sharon Cuneta.

De Belen, meanwhile, has four children with former husband John Estrada, and another with former boyfriend Aga Muhlach.
