Silver screen partners KC Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez have admitted they have become closer after working on their second film, but denied they were already dating.
In a press conference Monday for their second movie "When I Met You," the two responded to reports they were seen dating in a popular restaurant.
"It was our time together to celebrate my birthday. Kasama din namin yung mga kasama namin sa trabaho. It was an intimate celebration, at masasabiko na...I don't know if you want to put title to it, but para sa amin, it's our time together. We enjoy that time together, kasama namin lahat ng tao," Gutierrez said.
"It was his birthday celebration po," said KC. "We were all there to support and encourage Richard kasi sa birthday niya, nagta-trabaho siya. Yun lang po 'yon. Nagkataon lang po na free din ako kasi siya yung may shooting day, and that was my first and free day sa last three weeks na ginagawa namin yung movie."
The two, who made headlines with their first hit film "For The First Time" under Star Cinema, said that after working on their second movie, they have become closer to each other.
When asked to describe the status of their relationship, Gutierrez replied: "We don't want to put a title to it. There's no title to it. Basta kami ni KC, we are very happy with each other. For me, special sa akin si KC. I think we are good working partners."
Concepcion said both of them are open to dating anyone.
"I think both of us are young and restless. We're having fun and exploring.... We are in our 20s, and we are getting to know different people, although what we have is so different. Kasi hindi naman araw-araw makakagawa kayo ng pelikula back-to-back," Concepcion said.
Concepcion, a contract star of ABS-CBN, is also the national ambassador of United Nations World Food Programme (WFP).
On Thursday, Concepcion will be receiving a donation from a well-known pizza restaurant that will be used for the feeding program of the WFP.
