After soap, Iza gears up for 'Biggest Loser'
MANILA -- Iza Calzado is thrilled to start work on her next Kapamilya project after "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan".
"I really want to focus on hosting '[The] Biggest Loser' and I’m really excited... I'll still be working but the hours won't be as grueling," Calzado said during a recent press conference for her ongoing drama series.
Directed by Wenn Deramas, "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan" is down to its last week after more than six months on air. The series was Calzado's first project as contract artist of ABS-CBN.
According to the 30-year-old actress, her hosting stint in the upcoming second season of the reality show "The Biggest Loser: Pinoy Edition" will tentatively start airing in March.
"Hopefully I'll conquer it," Calzado said of hosting the show. "But basically I'm entering a new territory. I’ve never been given a show like this, [one with] this magnitude to host."
The first season of the local edition of "The Biggest Loser" first aired in May last year, and was hosted by veteran actress Sharon Cuneta and actor Derek Ramsay.
