San Juan prosecutors won’t file raps vs Rama
MANILA, Philippines – The San Juan Fiscal’s Office clarified that it will not be filing charges against talent manager Annabelle Rama after her outburst last Monday.
According to the office, the incident is already out of their hands since it took place outside its court.
After the preliminary investigation on the theft complaint she filed against former actress Nadia Montenegro on Monday, Rama blew her top.
Rama claimed Montenegro illegally seized P500,000 worth of items, including 10 antique chairs, a Sony TV set, three beds and stainless steel pots and pans, which have been stored in her warehouse.
Montenegro has denied the allegations.
At the parking lot of San Juan Justice Hall, Rama waited for Montenegro for a face-to-face shouting match.
"Lumabas ka dyan, sinungaling ka, halika rito, duwag," Rama shouted.
"Nadia Montenegro, bumaba ka dyan, magnanakaw," she added.
Meanwhile, Rama’s petition to inhibit the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office from all the cases Montenegro filed against her was junked last Friday.
According to Chief Prosecutor Donald Dee, Rama has no factual basis for her accusation that there is bias inside the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office. Thus, there is no reason to pull its members out from the pending child abuse, libel and falsification of public documents raps she has in the said office.
Dee, however, ordered the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office to consolidate all the cases filed against Rama and designate one fiscal to take over it.
A hearing has been set on February 15.
