Kris: Yes, marriage to James annulled

MANILA, Philippines - Queen of All Media Kris Aquino's marriage to star cager James Yap is finally over.
In her official Twitter account on Friday, hours after her story conference for her newest television series "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw" on Thursday evening, Aquino publicly announced that her marriage with Yap, father of her youngest son James Yap Jr. or Bimby, has been annulled by the court.
She said that she will be going to Hong Kong Disneyland with her sons Bimby and Joshua to celebrate her birthday. Her birthday is on February 14.
Aquino stressed that she can only wish happiness and the best things for her former hubby.
"Going to HK Disney w/ josh & bimby. Need this weekend to just be the 5 of us (me, my 2 sons & yaya A & Gerbel). Yes I'm annulled & can only wish for james & me lasting happiness & genuine friendship for Bimby's sake," Aquino tweeted.
It was August 9, 2010 when Aquino filed the petition before the Makati Regional Trial Court (RTC) to nullify her marriage to Yap.
In an amended petition filed with the Makati RTC on September 2010, Aquino cited mutual "psychological incapacity" as ground for the court to annul her marriage to Yap.
Aquino's lawyers said the 2 should no longer continue their relationship as husband and wife because of their mental state.
The petition said both Aquino and Yap had “personality disorders” ever since they were young.
On June 27, 2010, Aquino admitted that her 5-year-marriage to James was finally over.
She said it was not a "spur of the moment" decision." For the sake of their only child Baby James, Aquino refused to reveal the reason for their separation.
Aquino, who is 11 years older than Yap, married the professional basketball player on July 10, 2005.

Tingnan ko lang kung may "career" pa si James Yap when he's turning 41. Utak bola ka kase kaya bagay ka sa iba na pwede mong abusuhin at pagtaksilan. Oh and one more thing, I really felt sorry for Kris when your mother said that she never wanted her for you. Kung may matapobre, hindi galing kina Kris... esep-esep.

Annulment does not change a child's status. Bimby is still legitimate.

good on kris. she has her whole life ahead of her. her son, bimby, might be bastard now but compared to other bastards around, bimby could be the luckiest in the nation. he has the president as tiyo, his mother is very rich and holds down a job. but bimby could be richer than kris and likely to get even richer with all those endorsements under his tiny, tiny belt. he's even getting to be more famous than his dad. adelante, kris and son.

laws of country favor rich
Kris's annulment is an example of how the wealthy can get around the laws. How many poor couples can afford a court annulment? She will get a church annulment; the church sees where its bread is buttered. As for Kris, she is an example of how people should act; she and Ronaldo Llamas are the best examples for the decrepit ageing population.
Bastard son
Kris just have another bastard son when her marriage was annulled. I just don't get the Philippine law. Pumayag silang magpakasal at nagkaroon nang anak..paano mu ma annul ang marriage kung pareho silang pumirma sa contract. Ang kawawa ay ang bata. Paglaki niya hahanapan siya nang marriage contract nang kanyang mga magulang at nawalang bisa ang kasal.
