MANILA, Philippines – Actress Dawn Zulueta admitted that she hasn’t had the time to talk to veteran actress Maricel Soriano after she was chosen to replace her in the upcoming series “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin.”

In an interview with “The Buzz” that aired on Sunday, Zulueta said everything happened so fast that she was not able to talk to Soriano anymore. However, she said that if given the chance, she would definitely approach Soriano.

In her previous interview, Zulueta said she really looks up to Soriano and she is hoping to make her proud as she takes on her role.

Meanwhile, Zulueta revealed that her husband Anton Lagdameo initially got sad after learning that she will not be able to spend the entire summer with her family because of the series.

But Zulueta said she is fortunate to have family who understands her passion for acting.

“Si Anton medyo nanghinayang talaga because nga akala niya I’m going to be with him the whole summer. Iyon din naman ang akala ko. Yun naman ang sinabi ko sa kanya last year. Pero even if, he understood how important this means to me,” she said.

With “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin” now on the table, will she still have a project with loveteam Richard Gomez?

“Don’t worry meron talaga kaming project ni Goma. Pero siyempre busy rin naman ang tao. Siyempre nangangampanya siya. Hindi siya makakapagtrabaho ngayon eh. So meron muna akong gagawin ngayon, itong ‘Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin,’” she said.

“It will run for maybe 16 weeks then by the time the elections are over, we’re going to discuss the next project kasi mayroon naman talagang naka-pending para sa amin ni Richard na ibang project,” Zulueta added.
