MANILA, Philippines - Actor Jericho Rosales is slated to receive recognition from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCAA).

The NCCA will acknowledge Rosales’ contribution in uplifting the country’s art and culture through his participation in the Hollywood film “Subject: I Love You”.

The NCCA recently opened the 2012 Philippine Arts Festival and named February "National Arts Month".

Its grand opening, which was attended by notable personalities in the field of arts, was held at Luneta Park, Manila.

In line with the festival, the NCCA is set to go to different provinces to promote arts and culture among Filipinos around the country.

NCCA public affairs head Rene Napenas revealed that King of Talk Boy Abunda will be one of the active advocates of this campaign.

“Si Sir Boy Abunda po will go to various places in the Philippines to participate in the Philippine Arts Festival, katulad sa pagbubukas ng Philippine Visual Arts Festival, the Angono Experience, at pupunta rin po siya sa exhibit sa UST (Univesity of Santo Tomas),” he said.
