MANILA, Philippines – Hunk actor Derek Ramsay is recovering well after undergoing knee surgery last Friday, his girlfriend said.

Actress Angelica Panganiban said Ramsay stayed half a day in a hospital for the 40-minute surgery. She said Ramsay is now doing well and undergoing therapy every other day.

"Okay na ang tuhod niya… successful naman 'yong procedure… So far, mabilis siyang maka-recover sa operation,” she told ABS-CBN News.

During her free time, the actress said she takes care of Ramsay. Panganiban said his sisters are also looking after him especially if she is not around.

The “Habang May Buhay” star injured his right knee while playing Frisbee. He, however, delayed the operation, saying he was afraid to be confined in a hospital.

He finally relented and had the operation after complaining that he was already in a lot of pain.
