Comedienne Mommy Elvie passes away at 84

Mommy Elvie, the mother of comedian Ariel Villasanta, had been confined for three weeks when she passed away at St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig.
The 84-year-old comedienne became known for her appearance in the 2005 reality-comedy show "Misadventures of Ariel & Maverick." She later appeared in her own reality show called "Mommy Elvie's Problematic Show," also aired on ABC-5, two years later.
Her most recent project was another reality-comedy show "Mommy Elvie@18," which started airing in 2011.
Mommy Elvie's remains will lie at the Christ the King Church in Quezon City until February 13.
