MANILA, Philippines – Actor Enrique Gil said he is glad to be reunited with his onscreen partner Kathryn Bernardo in an upcoming television series.

Gil and Bernardo were first paired in the Star Cinema movie “Way Back Home.”

Speaking to Push.com.ph, Gil shared that a lot of people have been telling him that his team-up with Bernardo looks promising.

“Sabi nga ni Direk Ruel (Bayani) sa akin, it’s a good choice daw na i-pair [ako] kay Kathryn kasi it’s hard to find a love team na hindi pa siya nagka-boyfriend, na parang super fresh na babae, and ipe-pair parang sa matinee idol,” he said.

Bayani is the director of TV series “Budoy,” in which Gil plays the title character's main rival.

Meanwhile, Gil also commented on rumors saying his former giflriend Coleen Garcia is now dating dancer Gab Velanciano.

“Ah wala, okay na ako doon. Sinabi naman ni Gab sa akin,” he said.

Gil said he and Valenciano already talked about it in the past.

“We talked about it. Minsan magkasama pa nga ako, si Gab, si Coleen. Nagkikita kami minsan sa Eastwood. Kasama ko rin sina Jake. Friends-friends lang, kita-kita, kasama sila, nothing to me naman,” he said.
