Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos has shrugged off reports on the much talked about fight between his actor son, Luis Manzano, and rumored girlfriend Angel Locsin.

Santos maintained that fighting, as long as it is not physical, further spices up any relationship.

“Napaka-boring kapag hindi kayo nag-aaway. Kailangan magkar’on ng mystery ang relationship at part of that is fighting…  parte ‘yon para kapag nagkabati mas masarap,” Santos said.

She added that Valentine’s Day is a “perfect time” for Manzano and Locsin to show their respect and love for each other.

“Alam ko kung paano kayo magtulungan na dalawa, kung paano ninyo ini-inspire ang bawat isa,” she said.

Meanwhile, Santos said her upcoming film with Manzano and John Lloyd Cruz is slated to be shown September of this year. She said the casts have already begun shooting some scenes.

In April, the actors will shoot in New York for three weeks, according to the governor.

“So, excited na ako pag pinalabas. Panoorin niyong lahat dahil excited ako na [ihandog] ang pelikula na ito,” she said.
