Actress Ruffa Gutierrez said there is nothing wrong with the competition between her and her showbiz friend Carmina Villaroel with the launch of her new morning show with Comedy Concert Queen Ai-Ai delas Alas, "Ruffa & Ai".

"Ruffa and Ai" airs at the same time as Villaroel's morning program on GMA-7.

"Alam mo, nag-good luck sa akin si Carmina, and para sa akin, that is already a very, very nice effort on her part," Gutierrez said.

Gutierrez, who worked with Villaroel in the movie "Underage", said they are just doing their job as hosts and it has nothing to do with their friendship.

"Wala namang problema sa amin ni Carmina. Trabaho lang naman ito," the former beauty queen  explained.

Gutierrez, who is also one of the hosts in the Kapamilya’s weekly entertainment show "The Buzz" and is a regular cast in the television hit series "I Love Betty La Fea", said that she's thrilled with her new show since she will be able to make viewers happy. 

"Natutuwa ako na mas marami akong napapasayang tao. Kasi when I host naman, kumbaga, I just do my job. That's the beauty of being Ruffa. Marami akong pwedeng gawin," she said.

"Ruffa & Ai" started airing Monday, February 16.

“Ruffa and Ai” takes the timeslot of Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda’s “Boy & Kris.”

Aquino and Abunda will be moving to primetime with their new entertainment news show, “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon."
