For the first time, actress-singer KC Concepcion finally broke her silence on reports that she is now getting close to hunk actor Piolo Pascual.

“PJ (Piolo’s nick) and I are getting closer I think medyo five or six years din kaming nawalan ng connection if you remember noon mga 18 ako nag- meet kami, “ Concepcion told ABS-CBN’s newest entertainment show “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon,” hosted by Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda.

Concepcion said that though she’s personally getting closer to Pascual her priority now is her love team with actor Richard Gutierrez especially that they are promoting their second movie together titled “When I Met U.”

“Right now my priority is Chard and our movie kung anuman ang nangyayari sa amin ni PJ that's purely personal,” she added.

Concepcion also cleared malicious reports that she was seen visiting the condominium of the hunk actor.

“Si PJ siya ang leader ng small group namin nagmi-meet kami sa mga bahay ng leaders namin or even out in restaurants kaya lang hindi kasing private. Mayroon akong narinig na lumabas na parang we were spotted me and friends. He wasn’t even there binibigay niya ang susi niya sa next na leader nasa kanila ang susi so doon kami nagmi-meet para private walang nakakarinig ng pinagpi-pray namin,” Sharon Cuneta’s eldest daughter explained. 

It will be recalled that Concepcion and Pascual were reportedly going out together six years ago.

In a separate interview, Pascual also admitted that KC went into his condominium to attend a bible study.

The actor said that he and KC are friends who have known each other for a long time and they will be getting closer especially that they will be doing a television project together.

“It just so happened that iisa ang grupo namin. KC and  I are friends. We are definitely getting closer and I’m so excited. I told her I will get to know you better now because magkakasama tayo,” he said.

Pascual, who also publicly expressed his admiration for KC, said he simply wants to be a friend to the young actress.

“Siguro we just dont wanna rush  things for now but I definitely  wanna be there for her. I want to be a friend. Kung saan man mapupunta, let's see pero mahirap pangunahan ang mga bagay  especially  now na may pinanggagalingan kaming relationship so gusto kong pangalagaan,” he ended.

To complete the news, KC’s mother actress Sharon Cuneta also gave her reactions on the issue. The Megastar said she has nothing against Pascual since the latter is a very nice person.

On the issue that KC was seen at Pascual’s place, Sharon admitted she did not know about the issue but stressed that she never failed to tell her daughter what is right and wrong.

“I think you want your child to be independent. She's at her age she’s 23 and with good heart naman. Basta hindi ako nagkulang ng paalala. Mabait naman siyang bata basta tandaan niya lang na lagi kaming nagmamahal sa kanya,” Cuneta said.
