MTRCB chair against 'Anti-Typecasting Bill'
MANILA, Philippines – Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Grace Poe Llamanzares said the Anti-Typecasting Bill would be an infringement to producers’ freedom of expression.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Llamanzares said she initially thought that the proposed measure of Pampanga 3rd district Rep. Aurelio Gonzales is not serious.
Llamanzares said the proposal would set a bad precedent in lawmaking because it might encourage other sectors from also seeking the same protection.
As such, Llamanzares said she believes the resolution could do more harm than good.
“Paano halimbawa 'yung mga taga hudikatura o mga pulis na gusto din nila ipagbawal yung masama ang kanilang pagdepict sa mga palabas,” she said.
According to Llamanzares, what is seen on movies or television shows usually reflects real-life situations.
While bad people can be found in every sector, there are also good people who stand out, she said. – from a report by Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News

congressmen should stop typecasting themselves so people will stop typecasting them in return. this anti-typecasting bill will only encourage congressmen to continue behaving despicably, whereas people are not allowed to to say or do anything against them. not fair.

Sila daw ay kumakain kapag gutom at marunong daw sila mabusog hindi tulad ng mga masasamang police at congressman.
Gusto daw nila magpasa ng batas na ipagbawal na tawaging buwaya ang mga congressman at police
dahil mauubos daw lahi nila.
