Cacai addresses 'romance' with Mario Maurer
MANILA, Philippines -- Following the publicized breakup of Mario Maurer and his long-time girlfriend actress Gubgib Sumontip, Cacai Bautista has addressed her alleged romantic ties with the Thai heartthrob, whose recent photos with the singer-comedienne fueled speculations that they are dating.
Bautista took to micro-blogging site Twitter on Thursday to deny that she is dating Maurer, who starred in the Star Cinema film "Suddenly It's Magic" last year with the comedienne-actress.
Rumors of Bautista's supposed romantic relationship with the Thai actor surfaced after the singer posted a series of photos on image-sharing site Instagram showing her with Maurer, his friends and family members.
The photos were taken during Bautista's trip to Thailand last week, less than a month after Maurer and Sumontip confirmed that they had broken up.

In one photo, captioned "I miss you na po," Bautista is seen posing with Maurer. Other photos shared by the comedienne on Instagram were accompanied with the tags "love," "happiness" and "friendship."
On Twitter, netizens also asked Bautista on her series of tweets pertaining to "love" and being inspired, posted shortly after sharing images of her time with Maurer.
In November, during an interview on the comedy talk show "Gandang Gabi Vice," Bautista and Maurer said they have become close friends over the course of filming of "Suddenly It's Magic."
