MANILA, Philippines – Award-winning actor Piolo Pascual said looking good and stylish is a matter of appearing respectable, especially in his line of work as an actor.

In an interview in the March 2012 issue of entertainment magazine “YES!” Pascual said it is a necessity to look presentable as a celebrity.
“I think it comes with the territory, because you’re an artist. You have to present yourself in a way that you just want people to give you some respect,” he said.
Pascual, among other celebrities like Anne Curtis, Vice Ganda and Vhong Navarro, is listed as one of the “10 Best-Dressed Stars” of the magazine. For Pascual, personality plays a role in looking fashionable and “best-dressed.”
“It (clothing style) should be an expression of your personality,” he said. “This is what I am. I don’t think there is any effort that is put into it. You want to be as normal and casual as possible.”
“Normal” and “casual,” for the award-winning actor translate to wearing black and white items.
“When I go to a store, I look for something that’s white, because white is one of my favorite colors, and black, because it is easy to pair with anything. I always have to get something in plain black or plain white,” he said.
Pascual will be getting his share of wearing plain black and white not only for his personal style, but also for his latest on-screen persona as a priest.
In ABS-CBN’s new TV series “Dahil sa Pag-Ibig,” Pascual will play the role of Catholic priest Alfred Valderama. It will premiere on March 12 in ABS-CBN’s “Primetime Bida” block.
