MANILA, Philippines – Some of the brightest stars of ABS-CBN let us in on their plans for the Holy Week. Most of them were willing to bare their destinations while a few remained secretive.

ABS-CBN News Chief Correspondent Korina Sanchez said, “Magbabakasyon kami ni Mar. Pero hindi ko sasabihin kung saan.”

“Panata niya pagtulong sa mga bata,” Sanchez said of her husband, Liberal Party vice-presidential candidate Sen. Manuel “Mar” Roxas II.

Primetime gem Angelica Panganiban also refused to divulge her summer vacation whereabouts.

The “Rubi” bida-kontrabida (protagonist and antagonist) stated, “Saan magbabakasyon? Hindi ko sasabihin!”

Jake Cuenca, who plays Alejandro in “Rubi,” said he will go to the Queen City of the South, Cebu. “No meat this holy week,” he added.

Popular love team Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson, meantime, will be in the United States for the Heart-throbs and Friends Concert Tour 2010 in April. The concert tour also features Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, John Lloyd Cruz, Pokwang, Richard Poon and Bea Alonzo.

Chiu shared what she usually does during the Holy Week: “Nagbi-bisita Iglesia.”

Bangs Garcia, the female lead in afternoon soap opera “Magkaano Ang Iyong Dangal,” said she will go to the beach. Her co-star, Rayver Cruz, will go to Asia’s world city, Hong Kong.

On El Niño

Meanwhile, some Kapamilya stars shared their thoughts on the El Niño phenomenon gripping our country.

“Mga tao likas na matigas ang ulo. Kailangan ang government natin mag-set ng good example,” said “Rated K” host Sanchez.

Diether Ocampo, who plays the role of Hector in “Rubi,” noted: “Dapat alamin natin lahat ng bagay nauubos, hindi komo nandiyan siya ngayon, nandiyan siya habang buhay.”
