Arron Villaflor loses van to carjackers in QC
MANILA -- (UPDATED) Young actor Arron Villaflor lost his vehicle to carjackers in Quezon City Saturday afternoon.
According to the Anti-Carnapping Unit of the Quezon City Police District, the actor's Toyota Super Grandia, with conduction sticker TW 4208, was parked in front of a bookstore along Quezon Avenue.
The driver, Jeffrey John Valdez, was waiting for the actor's sister when two unidentified men approached him and pointed a gun at him.
The carjackers drove the vehicle and asked Valdez to lie on his stomach inside the van.
Valdez added that he heard one of the suspects talking to someone on his cellphone and mentioned a name "Niknok."
From Quezon Avenue, the suspects left Valdez in Mindanao Avenue-North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) interchange, where he was found naked by authorities.
According to Nikki, Villaflor's sister, she was about to go out of the bookstore when she saw that there were unidentified men who opened their vehicle, making her decide to stay inside.
Authorities have already asked for copies of the video footage from the bookstore's closed circuit television (CCTV) camera, as well as from the Expressway Management to be used in the investigation. -- with a report from Robert Mano, DZMM
