MANILA, Philippines – Actress Marjorie Barretto has asked her daughter Julia not to enter into a relationship just yet.

Julia, who turned 16 last week, was formally introduced last Thursday as one of the 12 new recruits of ABS-CBN's talent management arm Star Magic.

As part of the group dubbed "Star Magic Circle 2013," Julia's career beginnings is already on track to follow the footsteps of her aunts Claudine and Gretchen.

In an interview with “The Buzz” that aired on Sunday, Barretto said she does not want her daughter to be distracted from work because of love.

“Uso ngayon ang love team, love team so I told her na huwag muna ma-in love talaga kasi ang daming puwedeng mangyari at makakapigil lang ang love love na iyan ‘di ba?” she said.

In an earlier interview, Julia was asked who she wants to work with if given the choice.

“Anyone would be okay. I'm friends with Khalil Ramos so maybe to be able to work with him would be such a fun thing,” she said.

Ramos was among the finalists of the third season of the talent show “Pilipinas Got Talent.”
