MANILA, Philippines – Actor Albie Casiño has confirmed that he is no longer with ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Star Magic.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News after the PMPC Star Awards for Movies on Sunday night, Casiño revealed that he is now slated to do a project under the No. 3 network TV5.

“I didn't sign any contracts [with TV5] yet but possible. No I'm not anymore [with Star Magic]. I believe around October last year pa,” he said.

Casiño thinks his move to another network is “what’s best for everyone.”

“That was not my decision naman. That was just something that happened. Everyone involved. Hindi naman [moving on]. It's just what's best for everyone,” he said.

Meanwhile, the actor said he is truly happy for actress Andi Eigenmann, who has recently admitted that she’s genuinely happy with her life now.

“I'm happy for her. Good for her, no more negative energy and that's good. Hindi pa [kami nag-uusap],” he said.

Casiño used to have a relationship was with Eigenmann, with whom he is said to have a daughter. The two have since separated.

Asked if he is willing to mend ties with the Eigenmann and her mom Jaclyn Jose, Casiño said: “I have made an effort na to do that. Andi's happy now. So I don't think there's a need to grow the fire.”
