MANILA, Philippines - Singer Karylle is back as an actress. She will be appearing on ABS-CBN's hit afternoon series "Magkano Ang Iyong Dangal."

Karylle, who will play the role of environmentalist Tania, will be the guest star in the show's last six weeks.

In an interview during her first taping day for the series, Karylle said she was really surprised she was given the role.

“Natutuwa ako that I’m part of the show. Medyo matagal din kasi akong nag-rest. Puro kanta-kanta ang inaatupag ko sa buhay. Masaya ako sa pagkanta pero deep down, talagang nami-miss ko ‘yung pag-arte," she said.

Aside from missing being an actress, Karylle said that she's really thrilled to work again for a soap series, especially with actor Sid Lucero.

"Natutuwa din ako especially dahil ang cute-cute ni Sid (Lucero). Tawag siya nang tawag na sobra siyang excited, at na-feel ko talagang welcome ako sa show, kaya lalong nakakagana”, Karylle said.

Karylle and Sid worked together in the weekly series "Maruja," and in the primetime hit series "Dahil May Isang Ikaw."

Karylle is expected to make the series more intriguing when she starts appearing on Friday (March 12).

Tania (Karylle) will affect the lives of Nilo (Sid), Troy (Rayver Cruz) and Carmela (Bangs Garcia).

Will she be the key to the reunion of Nilo and Carmela? Or will she be the cause of the total ruin of the their marriage?
