MANILA, Philippines - Actress Shaina Magdayao on Tuesday broke her silence about reports that fellow Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual is wooing her.

Reports circulated that the two "ASAP" regulars are getting closer to each other after she posted pictures of her and Pascual on her Instagram account.

"Ayaw ko talagang bigyan ng malisya yung friendship namin. Pero I just want to say thank you nana-appreciate niya ako bilang tao," Magdayao told ABS-CBNnews.com on Tuesday.

In a recent interview with "The Buzz," Pascual admitted that he and Magdayao have gone out but insisted that they are just friends.

Aside from Pascual, Magdayao is also being linked to actor Sam Milby, who admitted in a TV interview that he plans to court the actress.

Magdayao said she's just happy that there are men who appreciate her and really enjoy her company.

"Alam niyo nahihiya ako na sa akin manggaling at nahihiya ako na sa babae manggagaling pero nakaka-overwhelm din siya kasi hindi ko ini-expect na maa-appreciate nila ako at gustong kilalanin pa. They are good men, masarap silang kausap at mabuti silang kaibigan sila sa akin. Hindi naman kami ngayon lang magkakilala, dati pa naman magkakaibigan na," Magdayao said.

But right now, Magdayao said she is enjoying the single life.

"I've always had a boyfriend and partner so ngayon lang ako natututo na mag-relax siguro this time around makikinig muna ako sa pamilya at kaibigan ko, trabaho muna ako. Pero if that person comes hindi natin mapipigilan 'yon but right now I'm enjoying my life. First time kong mag-enjoy bilang single at hindi ako sanay. Sanay ako na boyfriend ang lagi kong kasama so nangangapa pa ako. This is something new for me but ang ganda na ng nangyayari," she said.

Free from hatred

In the interview, the actress said she is also grateful despite the pain of her last relationship. Early last year, Magdayao confirmed her breakup with actor John Lloyd Cruz.

"Lagi akong no-regrets. As long as alam mo na you have purest intentions, okay ka," she said.

Asked if she is still angry at Cruz, Magdayao replied she has moved on. "'Yun ang una kong idinasal mawala yung (galit) kasi hindi makaka-fully move on kung nandoon 'yon sa puso mo. 'Yun ang una kong dinasal," she said.

Cruz is now dating Angelica Panganiban, Pascual’s leading lady in “Apoy Sa Dagat.”

Meanwhile, Magdayao is happy to be part of Star Cinema's upcoming film with Angel Locsin, Toni Gonzaga, Enchong Dee and her best friend Bea Alonzo.

"Hindi ko talaga nakita na masasama ako sa peklikula na ito but I'm really greatful na masasama ako sa ganitong proyekto," she said.

Magdayao said the film, which will be directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, is about family.

"Gusto ko i-assure ang lahat na matutuwa kayo sa project. Kami we are all excited. Makikita niyo ang sarili niyo dito bilang kapatid at bilang anak. It's about family," she said.
