Malaysian star Carmen Soo is back in Manila for a special project with ABS-CBN.

Soo, who entered Philippine show business via ABS-CBN's first hit Asianovela "Kahit Isang Saglit" with Jericho Rosales, said she will also continue learning the Filipino language. 

"I just arrived and I'm very happy. I'm back to study Tagalog," Soo added.

The foreign celebrity also shared that she really misses her Filipino friends, particularly the stars of “Kahit Isang Saglit,”  and she wishes to see them again.

"Of course, as you all know, we spent so long shooting that teleserye so we spent so much time working together. Now, I don't see them anymore so I miss them," she said.
 
Soo said she also misses her on-screen partner Rosales, and she expressed hope she'll be able to find time to be with him.

"Yes, I do (miss him). I love hanging out with him, and we'd been in touch a little bit. So yeah...hopefully I will catch him this time," she said.

Soo is slated to do a movie with Rosales under Star Cinema. She is also an endorser of a ready-to-wear clothing brand.

Reports also said she will be doing a cameo role for the upcoming horror film "T2" (Tenement 2) with the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano.

Also part of T2 is actor John Lloyd Cruz.

Soo’s name was dragged into the reported break-up of Cruz with her non-showbiz girlfriend Liz Uy late last year.

In a previous interview, Cruz denied that he had broken up with Uy.  He said his sweetheart still makes him happy every day.
