Actor Diether Ocampo has learned valuable lessons following his failed marriage with actress Kristine Hermosa.

Ocampo, whose current girlfriend is print model Rima Lorza Ostwani, said he has learned to become patient, not rushing into things, especially when it comes to marriage.

“Darating tayo diyan. Hindi tayo nagmamadali pero, of course, isa 'yan sa pina-plano ko, but this time, mas planado na at hindi na kami magtatago at wala na kaming gagawing kung anuman. 'Yong pagkakamali namin ay hindi na dapat maulit yon," he said.

It was only last February 10 when news broke that the Court of Appeals (CA) had upheld the ruling of a Makati trial court nullifying the marriage of Ocampo and Hermosa.

It was in 2005 when Hermosa initiated the filling of an annulment case.  The CA said it had found evidence sufficient to prove the petitioner’s allegation that the marriage ceremony between Ocampo and Hermosa last September 21, 2004 at Jaen in Nueva Ecija was null and void.

In case he decides to marry again, Ocampo said he wants to make sure that everything will be done properly and they will announce it publicly.

"This time, we want to share it with everyone. Hindi naman siguro masamang ipaalam namin sa tao, dahil siyempre, kung maganda ang plano, bakit mo naman itatago," he said.

Ocampo, who recently renewed his contract with ABS-CBN, said that with his new girlfriend, he cannot ask for anything more.

"Noong ibinigay sa akin si Rima, sobra-sobra na yung binigay, so what  more can I ask for?" he said.

In a recent interview with abs-cbnNEWS.com, Ocampo said he has found a girl who can really replace Hermosa's place in his heart. He even plans to introduce Ostwani to Hermosa. 

He said: "Yes.....you know, I gave my word na I will be introducing Rima to her (Hermosa). Sabi ko in due time."

Ocampo said he is grateful that Ostwani has accepted him, warts and all.

"Sa akin, kung ano ang binibigay ng Diyos, tinatanggap ko lang. Siguro mapalad din ako kasi siyempre, kahit na naging magulo ‘yong istorya ng buhay ko, bago ko siya nakilala, natanggap pa din niya ako," he said.

Ocampo is now preparing for his upcoming television series "Only You" with Sam Milby and Angel Locsin.
