MANILA, Philippines – Troy Montero and partner Aubrey Miles were shocked to learn that Geneva Cruz and her husband of 6 years, KC Montero, have split up, “The Buzz” reported Sunday.

Troy said he found it “weird” that his younger brother KC never mentioned about the split during their last conversation.

“I find that weird that he didn’t say anything. So, I heard from other people that Geneva came out and said something and had an interview or something. I was at their house a week ago. Everything seemed fine… I’m shocked actually,” Troy said.

He said he still hopes that the 2 “can work it out.” “Hopefully, [it’s] only temporary.”

In a separate interview, Miles said she was also as shocked as Troy.

“Okay naman sila the last time. Noong Christmas time, together naman sila. Happy naman sila,” Miles said.

The Philippine Star’s Ricky Lo broke the news that Cruz and KC had decided to separate, ending months of suspicions that their marriage was on the rocks.

Cruz and Montero (Casey Wyatt Miller in real life), a former television host, got married in Seattle in 2004. In 2006, the couple, along with Heaven, migrated to the US. Heaven is Cruz’s son from her previous relationship.

In April 2007, Cruz went back to the Philippines without her husband and son, triggering speculations that they had split up. Reports also said that she left her son under KC’s care, a move that reportedly drew the ire of her in-laws.
