Sneak peek: John Lloyd-Sarah teasers out
MANILA, Philippines -- A series of videos showing scenes from the upcoming romantic-comedy film starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo has been released online.
Scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on March 30, "It Takes a Man and a Woman" is the third installment in the series of films chronicling the love story of Miggy (Cruz) and Laida (Geronimo).
Released online Wednesday by ABS-CBN's film production outfit Star Cinema, which co-produces the big screen project with Viva Films, the first of three clips focuses on the separation of Laida and Miggy, who is seen with another woman portrayed by Isabelle Daza.
The second teaser, meanwhile, sees the return of Laida as someone "bolder," "braver" and "fiercer." She is seen joining Miggy's company anew after some time working overseas. Here, the former couple try to co-exist amicably despite their history and current circumstances.
In the third teaser clip, a scene from Cruz and Geronimo's first film together "A Very Special Love" is alluded to, where Miggy asks Laida to close the door after leaving the office pantry.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, "It Takes a Man and a Woman" is expected to replicate the success of "A Very Special Love" and "You Changed My Life," which both rank in the top 10 highest grossing local films of all time.
