Pacquiao's Hawaii concert canceled- report
MANILA, Philippines – The concert of People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao in Hawaii has been canceled due to poor ticket sales, an online report said.
Honoluluadvertiser.com reported that promoters of the Pacquiao concert had called it off due to low ticket sales.
Quoting Ryan Chang of Island Fire Productions, the report said only 603 tickets have been sold 4 days before the show. Chang said the promoters needed to sell 2,500 tickets to break even, according to the online report.
The concert, dubbed as "Manny Pacquiao Live In Hawaii Concert Celebration," was supposed to be held at the 8,500-capacity Waikiki Shell this coming Sunday.
Ticket prices ranged from $25 to $150. The highest-priced seats, the report said, included a meet-and-greet with the Filipino boxing icon.
Chang told Honoluluadvertiser.com that he would suffer “about $50,000 loss” if it pushed through.
Honoluluadvertiser.com quoted Chang as saying: "I don't know what to say about what happened. We thought Hawaii would appreciate bringing him in and 25 bucks is pretty cheap and reasonable. We needed to either pull out now or make about $175,000 to break even. I couldn't risk dropping that much for my investors."
Pacquiao held a concert-party in his 2 previous fights. Recently, following his successful match with Joshua Clottey, Pacquiao and his band held a victory concert-party at the Dallas Rangers Ballpark where he and his supporters partied the night away.
The reigning World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion belted tunes with Lito Camo, Madonna Decena and the MP Band. Journey front man Arnel Pineda, who sang the Philippine National Anthem, also joined in the fun.

I absolutely agree with prettynanay. and to add more.. hindi lahat nang talent ay ibinibigay nang Panginoon sa isang tao lamang. sa iba naman ipaubaya ni manny ang pag-concert para kumita naman yung ang pagkanta ay sya lang source of income. manny should be very careful to all those people that surrounds him na ginagamit lang sya para magkapera pa after his fight. mukhang mas-mabigat na sa kabilang side ang popularity ni manny (hindi na balance) kaya baka isang araw ay tumagilid na rin ang status nya.

kasi po, MANNY IS A BOXER, and, DEFINITELY, NOT A SINGER, and HE WILL NEVER BE!!! ok lang kumanta cya as a way of pasasalamat sa mga boxing fans niya, but to have it as a CONCERT???? Helloooooo...pagdating sa bagay na yan, diyan cya POOR...sa mga organizers ng concert na yan, bring Manny to Hawaii for boxing not for that matter, pareho kayong mga hilo, parang natamaan rin kayo sa boxing???and, Jinky at Nanay Dionesia, pakisabihan ang asawa't anak nyo ha?kung kayo bilib sa kanyang kumanta wag naman kayong mag expect na bilib na rin lahat sa kanya...masyado na kayong OVERWHELMED sa inyong katanyagan..mayayabang na rin kayo, sa totoo lang...remember, ang buhay ay weder weder lang, kaya konting preno ha???preno rin sa pagbulatlat sa buong mundo kung gaano na kadami ang kayamanan nyo, baka, isang araw, lahat mawala sa inyo, tsk, tsk, tsk..ang tao nga naman...
Too ambitious,.. no knowledge
Manny: Your confidence went way off your head. You think you can sing because you are good at boxing... No, No, No.... you cannot sing and that is the reality and fact of the matter. People are making fun of you and your mother for climbing into the high societal where in reality you can't and have no talent whatsoever in acting and singing.
You are suppose to live your life with integrity and respect so your fellow filipinos will remember you as a good boxer in history and the new generation will look up to you because of your talent in boxing. You do not want people to remember you someday because you are very ambitious and you want it all and you think you can do it all... No, no, no...they will remember you for making fun of you and your mother for doing something that both of you are not capable of. Tell your mother to lie low on celebrity status. She is not all that and could not be a celebrity if it is not for your boxing status. and I believe she is in shock for the fortune you are raking in the last 3 yrs. She too think she can dance and sing but no, she can't and people are making fun of you and your mother for acting like an ignoramus on TV and any interview in public. Either both of you are in mid life crisis.. that is why you might need to consider seeing a counselor on how to overcome your mid life crisis. This will probably will help you revive your integrity and respect of all the filipino towards you.
Stay away from acting and singing and most especially Politics. You don't have any law degree to even be qualified as a congressman. That's what they do, write, amend,implement the laws of the land and if you didn't even take law courses in high school or college? How will you be able to serve the people? Your status as a boxer is not going to help you with your job as a congressman. Good luck!

I absolutely agree! Manny needs a reality check and so, thus his mother. His mother cannot dance and sing. That's why alot of people and comedians made fun of them....
Advise to Manny
Manny just an advise to you, please leave singing to singers, i know how how eager are you to become a singer, but to be honest with you your voice is terrible, please concentrate on other things like helping others
