Pia Magalona, wife of the late "Master Rapper" Francis Magalona, said several "tribute shows" being done abroad do not have the blessing of the Magalona family and are only being done to cash in on her husband's good name.

In an SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon report, Pia said tribute shows for Francis M in Dubai, UAE and Ontario, Canada will not benefit the Magalona family.

"So far, we've seen two of the 'tribute shows' announced on Facebook. I immediately posted a message saying that I never gave my blessing to these events especially since they'll be selling tickets for the show," she said.

She added: "I want to tell the public, any and all tribute shows or benefit shows na kini-claim para sa kay Francis M or para sa [Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) ay wala yang blessings namin. Bigyan man lang nila ng decency na mag-ask ng permission ko."

Pia said that if ever there are people who ask permission to do a tribute or benefit show for the country's king of rap and she does not reply, it only means that she is not giving her permission to do the project.

She also cleared that they have no foundation, and if the show is for the benefit of PNRC but uses the name of Francis M she should also be informed about it.
 
"When you use Francis M's name, image or persona I really get offended. Mayroong din ako nababalitaan na upcoming shows na dito sa atin gagawin sa Manila and parang gagamitin 'yong name niya and parang sasabihin pa na a-attend kami. Gusto kong malaman nila na wala kung mayroon man dapat sa akin manggaling 'yong anouncement," Pia stressed.

Thieves victimize Francis M's family

Pia also confirmed reports that thieves broke into their house during the wake of Francis.

She said that it happened for two consecutive nights. She said that on the first night, things of her youngest child like PSP, laptop and cellular phone were taken.

On the second night her cellular phone, Francis' PSP and things of her other son were robbed.

Pia said they have an idea who the culprit is but will just leave it within their community.
