Instead of concert, Pacquiao to party with fans in Hawaii
MANILA, Philippines -- The Manny Pacquiao Hawaii Concert Celebration has been cancelled, but this won't stop the Philippines' singer-boxing champion from partying in Hawaii.
Pacquiao's fans will still have the chance to party with the 7-division champion on March 19 in a venue to be set by Island Fire Production, the same outfit which organized the concert.
The organizers will still require party-goers to secure tickets, which will be available a day before the event.
Pacquiao will also have a separate meet-and-greet autograph signing event in Hawaii on March 21.
Last March 13, Pacquiao defended his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title against Ghana's Joshua Clottey.
Ryan Chang of Island Fire Production confirmed to ABS-CBN News they had to cancel the concert on March 21 at Waikiki Shell due to poor ticket sales.
Chang said only 600 tickets were sold in a venue that had a capacity of 8,500. To break even, they needed sales of 2,500 tickets.
Each ticket costs US$25 to $150 dollars.
Chang said they have started fully refunding those who bought tickets. Tickets can be refunded at the place where they were sold. -- report from Monette Rivera, ABS-CBN International

I hope Pacquiao will also set a party here in the Philippines for the Filipinos since everytime he has a fight his words is "lumalaban ako para sa mga kababayang Pilipino". Might as well say he's fighting for the people of Hawai. I am so proud that a Filipino boxer has reached the level where you are now, but never proud on who you are as a Filipino...

Just because you're good at one thing doesn't mean you'll be good at everything, wapacman! Don't get me wrong you're the best boxer ever but, please stick to that genre. I think these money hungry music managers are just in for the gimmick when all of the truth he can't really sing. He's just a butt of a joke when it comes to his movies and singing. And politics? Hindi porke't magaling na boksingero eh magaling na singer na rin. Ginagawa lang siyang clown ng mga nag-uudyok sa kanya na magsinger at mag artista. Tuwang-tuwa naman siya kapag pinapalakpakan habang kumakanta. Palakpak ba ito ng paghanga o pang-iinsulto at pang-uuto? Wala silang pinagkaiba ng ina niyang si Dionesia. Ang akala sikat at magaling na artista na pero gaya ni Pacquiao ginagawa ring isang clown at pang-katatawanan.
Sa pulitika naman lumilipad na rin sa hangin itong si Pacquiao. Akala dahil sikat siyang boksingero eh ihahalal na siya ng mga tao bilang congressman. Kahit pa laging nauuto ng mga trapo ang masang Pilipino sa tuwing halalan eh meron pa naman segurong natitirang pag-iisip ang mga Pinoy kung sino ang karapat-dapat na ihalal. Higit sa lahat hindi lahat ng mga Pinoy ay tanga. Itong si Pacquia palibhasa salat sa pinag-aralan eh pinagpapaikot-ikot, pianglalaruan at inuuto ng mga beteranong salot na trapo sa lipunan. Tuwang tuwa naman ang mokong sa pag aakalang hinahangaan na siya ng lahat pagdating sa pulitika. Mabuti pa magboksing ka na lang.

Watching him sing at Jimmy Kimmel show makes me want to through up..He's a disgrace to all the Filipino singer that making name abroad...People tolerate your singing voice because you're a famous boxer..YOU CAN'T HAVE IT ALL.
