MANILA -- Ateneo volleyball team standout Gretchen Ho remains tight-lipped on the status of her relationship with TV personality Robi Domingo, but admitted that she feels inspired by him.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News' Gretchen Fullido on Tuesday, the Atenean spiker opened up on her rumored romance with Domingo, who has expressed openly that he is courting Ho.

"Masaya ko. Feel ko pareho naman kaming happy, and I feel inspired," she said.

Addressing reports that her family supposedly disapproves of her relationship with Domingo, Ho said that on the contrary, the "The Voice Philippines" co-host is  welcome at her home.

"Nagulat ako kung saan nanggaling 'yung balitang 'yun, kasi si Robi lagi siyang pumupunta sa bahay namin, and accepted naman siya ng parents ko, and he hangs out with my little brother. As in minsan nagte-text-text pa sila. I think we're all good naman. I dont think there's any issue there," she said.

Ho also said Domingo has been very supportive of her career as a student-athlete, having competed in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) as a player of the Ateneo Lady Spikers.

"After the season, [he gave me] flowers. He always gives me flowers eh, na sobrang ganda, nilalagay pa namin sa gitna ng dining table, tapos angganda. Magaling siya pumili ng bulaklak. And I like flowers. Binigyan niya ako after the season, kahit natalo kami," she said.

She also told ABS-CBN News that she and Domingo are set to go on vacation together.

Meantime, Ho also expressed interest in joining showbiz, saying she intends to take on a similar career path as her rumored boyfriend.

"More of hosting, hindi ako acting. Sports hosting, and siguro 'yung mga programs for the youth," she said.

Ho said part of her motivation to join showbiz is to give joy to others. She said that by simply interacting with some of her followers on micro-blogging site Twitter, she can make them feel happy.

"Merong mga nag-o-offer [to join showbiz]. I'm open to it if it puts me in a position where I can influence and inspire people, for the good naman, to be better.

"Natutuwa kasi ako, pag may mga tao na nagti-tweet sa akin. Sinasabi nila, 'Hi ka naman,' tapos fini-favorite ko 'yung tweets na 'yon. Ta's when I see their reactions, sobrang saya nila. Parang feel ko natutuwa ako na nabibigay ko 'yung ganoong saya sa kanila, kahit sa simpleng bagay lang," she said.
