Dolphy's grandson arrested in Laguna drug raid
MANILA, Philippines -- A grandson of the late King of Comedy Rodolfo "Dolphy" Quizon was arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after being caught with illegal drugs inside his home in Sta. Cruz, Laguna Tuesday morning.
The 29-year-old Rodolfo Quizon III, son of Rodolfo Quizon Jr., was arrested after being served a search warrant inside his home in Barangay Palasan at around 10 a.m.
Authorities said Quizon III was included in the PDEA's target list of drug personalities in Laguna.
A friend, identified as Jayar Salac, who lives with Quizon III was also arrested.
Seized from Quizon III and Salac were 8 grams of suspected marijuana, 16 tablets of Valium and various drug paraphernalia.
Quizon III admitted that he had been using illegal drugs for the past three years but denied being a drug pusher.
Salac, meanwhile, claimed that he just started using illegal drugs recently.
Both Quizon III and Salac underwent inquest proceedings Wednesday.
