Kristine made me a better person, says Diet
Hunk actor Diether Ocampo admitted that he and actress Kristine Hermosa went through a lot of trials together but, although they did not have a happy ending, he said he did not regret their past.
Ocampo said Hermosa had been a big part of his life and he became a “better person” because of the actress.
“Wala akong pinagsisihan. Lahat ng nangayri doon sa aming dalawa ni Tin ay naging masaya ako dahil naging magandang parte [siya] ng buhay ko at hinding hindi ‘yan mawawala,” Ocampo told “The Buzz” Sunday.
A court has nullified the marriage of Ocampo and Hermosa that took place in Nueva Vizcaya in 2004.
Ocampo admitted that it was not easy going through that legal process.
"Marami din namang magandang nangyari [sa aming dalawa]. Marami akong nagawang mga pagkukulang at pagkamamali pero naging malaking bagay ‘yon para sa akin dahil naging malaking kontribusyon 'yon dahil it made me a better person,” he said.
“This time magpapanimula ako ng bagong chapter. So, I hope this time hindi na maulit ‘yong mga pagkakamali at this time I know better and I’m glad that I am alive again,” Ocampo added.
The hunk actor said he also learned that it helps to be optimistic especially when it seems like everything is falling apart.
“Hindi ka dapat nawawalan ng pag-asa. Always think positive. Manalig ka sa Diyos na kung meron kang pinagdadaanan, kahit ano pa ‘yan, anong iwas mo diyan, dapat pagdaanan mo ‘yan para matuto ka,” he said
No marriage plans yet
Ocampo is now going out with model-endorser Rima Lorza Ostwani, who is the actor’s inspiration these days.
He, however, said that both of them have no plans to settle down just yet, adding that right now he is focusing on his career in order to save for the future.
The actor said he is happy because Ostwani is very patient and understanding.
"Kaya nga malaki ang pasasasalamat ko sa kanya dahil doon mahal na mahal ko siya," Ocampo said.
The actor added that he is inspired to work because of Ostwani.
“Kapag may taong nagbibigay ng inspirasyon sa iyo dapat huwag mong itago,” said Ocampo, who previously kept mum on his marriage with Hermosa.
Currently, Ocampo is taping for his upcoming television series “Only You” with Sam Milby and actress Angel Locsin.
