MANILA -- Billy Crawford is nervous about his dramatic role in an upcoming TV drama offering of the noontime variety program "It's Showtime."

The fun-loving and often riotous Kapamilya show is shifting moods starting Monday in observance of the upcoming religious holidays.

The noontime show, which airs 12:30 p.m. on weekdays, will air inspirational dramas starring some of its hosts from March 25 to 27, in time for Holy Week.

In a sneak peek of the episodes aired Saturday on "It's Showtime," Crawford, who is popular as a singer-dancer, expressed apprehensions about crying on screen.

"Takot ako at nahihiya ako. Ako, medyo nahihiya ako umiyak eh, kahit sa pamilya ko, so tignan na lang natin," he said.

"Sometimes kasi pag nasa situation ka na, doon mo nalang malalaman kung anong pwedeng maramdamn ng isang tao," the noontime show co-host added.

Crawford will act alongside co-hosts Kim Atienza and Jugs Jugueta in his episode, which sees him take on the role of an aspiring priest.

"It's Showtime" co-hosts Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario and Teddy Corpuz will co-star in a separate episode, as will Anne Curtis and Coleen Garcia in another.

The other co-hosts of "It's Showtime" include Vice Ganda, Karylle, Ryan Bang and Eric Tai.
