Actress Angel Locsin turned emotional as she remembered her first love, the late young actor Miko Sotto.

In her first SNN:Showbiz News Ngayon interview Thursday, Locsin shared good memories of her past romantic relationship with Sotto.

Locsin also confessed that nearly six years after Sotto's death, she still misses the young actor.

"Kami ni Miko ay masasabi kong napaka-exciting talaga. Siya ang boyfriend ko na ang bilis mag drive, pero kahit na halos tumatalon kami ay relax pa din ako kasi feeling ko, napaka-safe ko kapag kasama ko siya. Nami-miss ko pa din po siya hanggang ngayon," Locsin said.

Sotto died December 29, 2003 after accidentally falling from the ninth floor of a condominium building in Mandaluyong City. Miko was about to stand on the plant box of the balcony when he lost his balance and accidentally fell.

Locsin said that Sotto was the one who taught her how to be strong and how to defend herself.

"Mas tumapang po ako. ... Siya ang nagturo sa akin na magpakatatag ka talaga na huwag isipin ang sinasabi ng iba," Locsin shared.

The actress also remembered how Sotto allowed her to cry whenever she had a problem, just to ease the pain.

"Kapag may problema ako, 'Sige iyak ka ngayon, pero bukas, ayaw kong makitang umiiyak ka'," Locsin said, recalling Sotto's words.

Locsin said that with Sotto around her at that time, everything seemed to be right. She also felt that that her first love could fix everything for her.

"Pakiramdam ko, kaya niyang isolve ang lahat ng problema," Locsin said.

The late Miko Sotto, son of Ali Sotto and nephew of comedian Vic Sotto, met Locsin when the actress was still working for GMA Network.

After Miko died, Locsin had a relationship with Miko's cousin, Oyo Boy, but they eventually broke up.

Locsin is currently romantically linked to actor-host Luis Manzano, son of Star for All Season and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos.

Locsin is gearing up for her second television series on ABS-CBN entitled, “Only You,” with Diether Ocampo and hunk actor Sam Milby.
