Why Erwan rejected Anne's request to join concert
MANILA - Anne Curtis on Thursday revealed that boyfriend Erwan Heussaff rejected her request for him to join her upcoming concert, which will be held on May 16 at the Araneta Coliseum.
During a press conference for "The Forbidden Concert: Annekapal," the 29-year-old actress was asked what Heussaff thinks of her success as a recording artist and as a concert performer.
Curtis, a self-confessed "non-singer," answered: "Natatawa siya sa akin! Tapos pinipilit ko siyang mag-guest [sa concert]! Ayaw niya! Sabi ko, 'Please!'"
Asked if Erwann, who is a popular food blogger, can sing, the actress said, "Yes! He sang in Solenn's (Heussaff's sister) concert before. 'So how come you can sing in Solenn's concert but you can't sing in mine?'"
"And he just told me that, 'What is ours is ours.' Parang, 'We've done so well...' I mean, we're open to the public about it, but, you know, we're not super showbiz-y."
A couple for over three years now, Curtis and Heussaff have denied repeatedly that they are planning to get married soon, citing their respective careers as their priority.
Aside from his blog, the Filipino-French Heussaff is busy running four co-owned restaurants. He is also a triathlete and has been active in sharing his weight loss story, having weighed 245 pounds at one point.
Despite his celebrity connections and regular appearances in media, Heussaff has been evasive when it comes to discussing personal matters, including his relationship with Curtis.
"He'd like to keep it like that," the actress said, referring to Heussaff declining being part of her concert. "So sabi ko, 'Okay.' O 'diba, hindi na ako nakasagot, alangan namang pilitin ko. But it would've been great to have him part of the concert."
