Anne Curtis taking no legal action vs tabloids
MANILA, Philippines- Actress Anne Curtis, whose photo of her “wardrobe malfunction” recently circulated in the Internet, on Sunday disclosed that she is no longer taking any legal action against tabloid newspapers that published her controversial picture.
Curtis told “The Buzz” that upon the advice of her father, an Australian lawyer, she chose not to file a case against those publications.
“Para matapos na, kalimutan na ng mga tao. He actually called them gutter press because these are people who are below the standards of normal press people… that’s below the belt,” she said.
The “Babe, I Love You” star added: “My dad told me, ‘You’re above all of these. They’re below your dignity.’ Huwag ko na lang silang patulan. Pag-uusapan lang sila. If I sue them, ano pang makukuha ko doon? Hahaba pa ang issue. So, huwag na lang.”
An emotional Curtis said she looked at those publications with “contempt” for taking advantage of other people’s misfortunes.
Nonetheless, Curtis said she is happy that she continues to have the support of her fans, some of whom even took it upon themselves to delete the photo.
“I just want to move on. It’s like a bad dream that happened and I’m awake. So, sana lahat ng mga tao kalimutan na din ang nangyari,” she pleaded.
