Sexy actress Rosanna “Osang” Roces was subdued Monday night when she attended the premiere showing of her Holy Week film “Pasang Krus” in Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

Despite her previous acerbic statements hurled at Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), Roces chose to be more restrained during her opening speech.

“Ito na lang po muna ang panoorin ninyo dahil alam naman natin na banned ang ‘Aurora.’ Maganda rin po itong pelikula. Inspirado po ako sa project na ito,” she said

“Mas maganda po ito sa mga nauna ko nang pelikula at maipagmamalaki ko ang dramatic scenes dito,” she added.

MTRCB had given “Aurora” an “X” rating twice, saying that its rape scene was “unfit for public viewing” and “too explicit.”

“Aurora” was shown at the UP Film Institute Cine Adarna months ago but was slapped later by MTRCB with a legal suit in pursuant to probable violation of Section 7 of the Presidential Decree No. 1986.

“Pasang Krus,” on the other hand, is rated PG-13 and Osang, who was nailed to the cross just for this film, was very happy about it.

The movie is a Lenten treat since it tackles Filipino traditions during Holy Week. Directed by Neal “Buboy” Tan, the film follows the life, travails and hardships of a mother who will do everything for her five children.
