Even Wowowee host Willie Revillame is not immune to the ongoing hostage crisis situation involving three humanitarian aid workers in Sulu.

During Tuesday's show, Revillame said he was saddened that three members of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) remain in captivity while other people are going on with their nomal lives.

"Malungkot pero andito tayo nagsasaya, magdasal tayo. 'Pag may anak kayo, sana hindi mangyari sa kanila 'yan," he said.

He then broke the tension by joking to one of the contestants: "Could you take their place?"

Swiss Andreas Notter, Italian Eugenio Vagni, and Filipina Mary Jean Lacaba have been under the clutches of the Abu Sayyaf since January 15. Abu Sayyaf sub leader Akbader Parad had threatened to behead one of the hostages at 2 p.m. on Tuesday if the military refused to pullout from three towns in Sulu. The deadline has been extended indefinitely.
