MANILA – Erstwhile best friends Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador have reportedly patched things up one year since they became estranged due to the latter’s involvement with Gerald Anderson.

An article by the entertainment website push.com.ph published Monday quoted host-columnist Ogie Diaz, who confirmed via his Twitter account that the two have reconciled.

"Yehey! Bati na pala sina @dprincessmaja at @prinsesachinita last week. Nagkita sila at nagkatsikahan na. #SarapNgFeeling," Diaz wrote, mentioning the Twitter accounts of the two actresses.

Although he did not name anyone, Dreamscape’s Eric John Salut also posted an intriguing tweet which said: "Finally, they have reconciled. Thank you LORD. Bless them more Oh LORD."

Meanwhile, Diaz also announced in his Twitter account that the Chiu already got the chance to talk to Anderson, her former boyfriend.

"Usap na din sina gerald at @prinsesachinita kanina. Nagbibiruan pa nga sila. All's well that ends well. "Sarap ng walang kaaway!" –kim," he wrote.

Also in one of Salut’s posts in his Instagram account, Anderson could be seen in a picture with Chiu’s elder sister, Lakam.

A year ago, Chiu expressed regret that her friendship with Salvador went to waste, following reports of a blooming "relationship" between the "Thelma" actress and Anderson.

Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship.

Just recently, Chiu and Anderson reunited for a photo shoot of a product with they both endorse.

“It was great. Like I said, time will heal everything. Dahan-dahan. I’m just really happy na okay na. We are happy for each other,” Anderson said.

Salvador, on the other hand, has been vocal in her past interviews that she is still hoping to mend ties with the “Ikaw Lamang” actress.

In her past interviews, Chiu said she would rather not dwell on the negative things that happened in 2013.

“Sino ba namang hindi iiwanan ang masasamang nangyari? Doon ka pa rin? Naku baka chaka ka na by 2014. Siyempre naiwan mo na iyon and you’ve already learned your lesson and may alam mo na ang gagawin this 2014,” she said.

Asked if she has already forgiven the people who have wronged her last year, Chiu said: “Oo naman, wala na iyon. Kalimutan na natin lahat ng nangyari. Let’s start the year with happiness and laughter.”
