Talent manager Annabelle Rama threatened to file a lawsuit against entertainment Web site Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) for uploading an article with wrongful information about son Richard Gutierrez.

PEP reported that Gutierrez allegedly pointed a gun at actor Michael Flores during a fight that purportedly took place at Zorro director Mark Reyes’ birthday party.

PEP editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon has already made a public apology but Rama was not satisfied.

In a report from “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon,” Rama said she will continue to file a case against PEP and the people involved for releasing the article.

“Itutuloy ko ang demanda ko sa kanila kasi unang-una, hindi naman clear ang apology ni Joan Maglipon. Ang gusto ko direct to the point [na] walang incident na  nangyari kaya ko sila idedemanda, atsaka ang PEP, atsaka lahat ng taong involved para lumabas ‘yong sinasabi nilang dalawang witness,” she said

“Hindi ako satisfied sa mga sinasabi ni Jo-Ann, hindi satisfied ang buong pamilya ko. So pag hindi pa sila mag-retract after receiving the letter from my lawyer, tuloy-tuloy na ang demanda sa kanila,” she added.

Rama believes that the article had tarnished her son’s reputation and that filing a case will clear the name of the young actor. 

She also disclosed that she and his son will file two separate lawsuits.

“Basta iba [ang] demanda ko sa kanila, iba [ang] demanda ni Richard. Sinira nila ang pangalan ng anak ko sa isang istorya na mali,” she said.    

The young Gutierrez was also infuriated when the wrongful news broke out.

“Walang katotohanan ‘yong nakasulat doon. Walang gulong nangyari. Lahat po ‘yon kasinungalingan. At lahat po ‘yon ay naimbento lamang. Bilib nga ako sa gumawa ‘non dahil ang ganda ng imagination niya. Pero kung ano man ‘yong nakasulat doon, I’m sure kung ano man yong totoo, lalabas,” he said.

The young actor said he and his family gave PEP a chance to tell the truth about the incident but he pointed out  that Maglipon apologized for the wrong reasons.

“Hindi niya sinabi na nagkamali sila at imbento ‘yong mga nakasulat doon sa PEP at fabricated stories and false journalism ‘yong nangyari,” the actor added.
