Maja hospitalized due to stomach pains
MANILA – Actress Maja Salvador was briefly hospitalized on Wednesday due to stomach pains, according to her boyfriend, actor Gerald Anderson.
The “Dyesebel” actor, however, told ABS-CBN News’ Marie Lozano on Thursday that Salvador’s situation was nothing serious and is now doing well.
“Mahilig kasi sa softdrinks, ayaw uminom ng tubig. Sunud-sunod din kasi ang taping nila sa ‘The Legal Wife.’ Mahirap talaga,” he said of Salvador.
Despite being rushed to the hospital, Anderson said Salvador is now back on her feet.
“She went back to taping. She's one of the most masipag na artista na kilala ko,” he said.
Aside from Salvador, Anderson said he was surprised when he learned that his “Dyesebel” leading lady, actress Anne Curtis, was stung by a jellyfish while taping the fantasy series on Wednesday night.
“Kanina ko lang nabalitaan na kinagat siya ng jellyfish. Magkahiwalay kami [ng location]. Kanina ko lang nalaman sa ‘Showtime.’ Nagulat ako,” he said.
Saying he saw Curtis’ rashes from a picture, Anderson said he is praying that the actress gets well soon.
“I wish her the best. Sana gumaling siya agad not just for ‘Dyesebel’ but for her health,” he said.
In her personal Twitter account on Thursday, Curtis said her doctors at St. Luke's Medical Center Global City are monitoring her status.
“Morning everyone. Just read all your 'Get well soon' messages. Last night was my first time to be stung by a jellyfish, a box jellyfish. Currently in St. Luke's so they can monitor my jellyfish sting/rash & most importantly the rhythm of my heart,” she said.
Curtis said she has been reading about box jellyfish and she considers herself lucky that the sting wasn’t fatal. “This summer be careful when swimming in the ocean keep an eye out,” she advised.
Despite being admitted in the hospital, Curtis didn't forget to thank her supporters for making her show a huge ratings hit.
“I can now sincerely say, lahat ng puyat, pawis, dugo at jellyfish bites makes it all worth it, dahil sa supporta binibigay nyo sa ‘Dyesebel,’” the actress said.
