Ogie Diaz narrates how Maja, Kim reconciled
MANILA – It was Maja Salvador who reached out to Kim Chiu which led to their reconciliation, according to talent manager and entertainment columnist Ogie Diaz.
In a recorded interview which aired on “Buzz ng Bayan” Sunday, Diaz narrated what happened based on Chiu’s account when he saw the “Ikaw Lamang” actress during the Dreamscape party last week.
Diaz said he personally asked Chiu why she posted a cryptic tweet last week which said: “cge lang ‘promo ‘promo’ din pag may time…”
A lot of netizens thought Chiu’s post, which she eventually deleted, was another swipe at Salvador, who talked about their estrangement while promoting her debut album.
According to Kim, tinext siya na baka pwede mag-usap. Nag-usap na sila tapos okay na daw lahat, everybody happy.”
According to Diaz, Salvador had told him that she wants to mend ties with her former best friend.
“Naikwento sa akin dati ni Maja na sana matapos na ito, makapag-usap. Sabi ko, ‘Hintayin mo lang ang right timing. Dadating ang time na kahit hindi niyo pilitin, magkakaayos at magkakaayos kayo dahil meron kayong pinagsamahan kahit nagkalamat iyan,’” he said.
A year ago, Chiu expressed regret that her friendship with Salvador went to waste, following reports of a blooming "relationship" between the "Legal Wife" actress and Gerald Anderson.
The confirmation of Salvador and Anderson’s status as a couple reportedly estranged Chiu from both stars.
Chiu and Anderson broke up in 2010 amid controversies surrounding their relationship. It also marked the end of their onscreen team-up, much to the dismay of their loyal followers.
Anderson, however, confirmed last Thursday that all's well now between him and Chiu.
“It's good. It's true. Everyone is happy so love, love, love. It's something I really don't want to comment on kasi before that, everything was so publicized. Nabalita sa media. So this is something na it happened so it's really good,” he said.
