After his controversial break-up with former girlfriend Malaya Lewandowski due to a third party, actor Rafael Rossell said he is moving forward and putting the past behind him now.

The hunk actor said as part of his healing process he regularly hangs out with his close friends.

“[We] just watch movies tapos surfing sa La Union, usually doon kami pumupunta,” he told “The Buzz.”

The actor is also dating someone who is not from show business.

Rossell and Lewandowski, a member of Star Magic's Koolchx, began dating in 2006 and since then they had been inseparable.   

It was in January of this year, however, when Rossell revealed that he and Lewandowski had called it quits. For sometime, the actor kept mum on the real reason behind the break-up.

A few weeks later, Rossell revealed that Lewandowski had an affair with a personal gym instructor.

Recent reports saying that Lewandowski and the gym instructor would soon walk down the aisle also surfaced but Rossell said he is happy for her. 

Rossell said because of that experience he was able to find himself.

“I can say na I’m a better person now,” Rossell added.

Rossell is a member of “Coverboys” and he will soon be part of ABS-CBN’s  “Precious Hearts Romances” alongside Mariel Rodriguez.
