MANILA - The studio audience of "It's Showtime" erupted in loud cheers on Wednesday as co-hosts Billy Crawford and Coleen Garcia shared a sweet moment during the noontime program's impromptu acting segment.
Crawford, who has admitted courting Garcia, was teased by co-host Vhong Navarro to kiss the 21-year-old actress, who emerged on stage in a body-hugging leather suit in line with the superhero story of the day's "Sine Mo 'To."
The 31-year-old Crawford, who came straight from an overnight taping for the Lenten special of "It's Showtime," initially hesitated but went on to approach Garcia as the audience chanted for them to kiss.
"Pampalakas lang 'to sa araw na 'to, ah," Crawford told Garcia, kissing her on her cheek.
The sweet moment between the co-hosts is the latest in a series of public expressions by Crawford for Garcia. He recently confirmed having Valentine's Day plans with the actress.
Coming off his separation from actress-singer Nikki Gil in July 2013, Crawford and Garcia had to repeatedly deny being an item, which was rumored to be the cause of the breakup.
A photo of them together in the United States later surfaced -- a matter addressed by Crawford in his "Buzz ng Bayan" interview in January. Crawford admitted that he is courting Garcia, but emphasized that she was "definitely not part of my past relationship at all."
