Mark Lapid defends mom over smuggling case
MANILA, Philippines – Former Pampanga Governor Mark Lapid defended his mother Marissa, who was arrested in Las Vegas last January 15 in connection with the dollar smuggling charges filed against her.
Lapid said her mom has no bad intentions and she is not at fault over what happened.
“Okay naman siya doon kasama niya mga apo niya, malaya siya. Nakakapunta siya kung saan niya gusto. Misundertanding lang ito, wala naman siyang intensyong ganun, alam n'yo kasi si mama, natataranta,” he said.
While the case is still ongoing, Lapid said they are leaving it up to his mom’s lawyers to handle the situation.
Meanwhile, Lapid proudly shared that he will soon graduate from two universities.
“Special course in Stanford, graduation sa April 20 and masteral course in Public Administration sa UPLB, graduation April 27,” he said.
He also revealed that he will soon do a movie, giving life to one of his most memorable film lines.
“Pinagpiyestahan na kasi sa Internet, ginawan pa nila ng kanta sa Internet kaya abangan niyo: ‘Saging Lang ang May Puso,’” he said. – from a report by Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
