Actor and endorser Victor Basa finally broke his silence on reports that he and Isabella "Saab" Magalona, daughter of the late Master Rapper Francis Magalona, are now an item.

In an interview with “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon,” Basa cleared the issue, saying that he and Saab are just good friends.

"Nagdi-dinner lang kami with friends... night out dinner lang with good friends," Basa said.

Basa's statement stemmed from a report saying that he and Saab, a star in a youth-oriented show in a rival network, were seen going out together.

When asked if there was a possibility that their friendship would eventually lead to a more serious relationship, Basa said: "Well on that note, we are just hanging out together, we are just good friends and I enjoy spending time with her... at this point, no pressure."

Basa also shared that he already met Saab's mother, Pia Magalona, “and we get along well."

Currently, Basa is part of the supporting cast of ABS-CBN's hit television series “May Bukas Pa.”
